Borna. The singer and former “RTL Jungle King” Marc Terenzi (45) has to answer in court over allegations of sexual harassment of a 15-year-old. Terenzi had lodged an objection against a penalty order issued last year, said a spokesman for the Borna district court near Leipzig.
His client wanted to appear in person at the appointment on Thursday (9 a.m.), said lawyer Andreas Hohnel when asked on Monday. “The case is about an alleged grab on the young person’s bottom.”
According to the lawyer, the alleged victim is the daughter of a woman from Groitzsch in the Leipzig district, with whom Terenzi was in a relationship for several years.
The Borna district court issued a penalty order of 50 daily rates of 20 euros against the celebrity in September. After the objection, the main hearing will now take place, emphasized the court spokesman. “The meeting is public. However, it cannot be ruled out that the public will be excluded from parts of the meeting.”
The relationship with the Groitzsch businesswoman became known in 2016, but only lasted about three years. From 2004 to 2010, Terenzi was married to pop singer Sarah Connor.
In 2017 he won the eleventh season of the RTL program “I’m a Star – Get Me Out of Here!”. He is now in a relationship with the radio presenter Verena Kerth. Last fall they both published a photo of themselves as a wedding couple. (dpa/SZ)
