Thirteen years after founding Mandarine Gestion, Marc Renaud has taken a small step aside. The star manager has just entrusted the management (“chief investment officer”) to Adrien Dumas, his current head of the “growth” team. Marc Renaud remains in charge of Value management and equity manager of the Mandarine Valeur fund.
Three other appointments were also made within the entrepreneurial company. Yann Baudin, present since 2008, responsible for marketing and communication, is appointed director of development. This position covers marketing, customer solutions and sales activities. Adrien Mallet was appointed institutional sales representative, reporting to Jean-Philippe Abougit, who was appointed sales director in charge of key accounts and institutional clients, after joining the sales team in 2013.
Formerly at La Financière de L’Echiquier (2007-2016), Adrien Dumas joined Mandarine in 2018 to lead growth and thematic strategies. He previously did a short stay at Axa IM (2016-2018), as a fund manager within Framlington Equities.
Mandarine has seen several movements in recent months. In January, it lost its small and mid-cap manager Quentin Hoareau, who moved to Eleva Capital, and welcomed Aurélia Caruso on microcapitalizations the same month, as well as an analyst on small caps, Edouard de Buchet.
The company ended 2020 with assets under management of 2.7 billion euros. Marc Renaud’s flagship fund, Mandarine Valeur, now has 410 million euros in assets.
