Marc Marquez admits he is facing mental difficulties because he is no longer “able” to win at the moment.
Silverstone, runganSport — Repsol Honda racer, Marc Marquez dominated MotoGP from 2013 to 2019 ago.
He won six premier class world titles in that period, he is hard to beat by any racer.
Unfortunately, Marquez’ nightmare came from himself, when he fell and broke his arm in the 2020 season opener at Jerez.
From then until now in a span of three years, Marquez has failed to win a title due to numerous injuries.
Not only a broken arm, there were many other injuries that followed and made the Cervera man’s life difficult.
Speaking recently, Marquez admitted that the difficult period he was going through had an impact on him mentally.
“Summer break came at the best time for me, the right time,” say Marquez to BBC, as quoted Crash.net, referring to the time he had to recover from his injury.
“I was injured, I was empty in the race. There was an accident. His ribs were broken, his finger was broken, his ankle too.
I am taking time to rebuild my body and energy. And I have time to prepare for the second half of the season.” he explained.
“I’m still not 100%, especially on my right foot. But it’s acceptable to ride a motorbike.
When I injured my arm it was a difficult moment, very demanding, four different surgeries. admit Marquez.
“Now I feel ready to fight for victory, but for some reason, I am unable to do so.
It becomes difficult on the mental side.” admit Marquez.
“Accidents, injuries, in my professional life these are the most difficult moments. But my personal life is at its best, so this offsets it a bit.” add Marquez.
