Marc Marquez wins the 2021 US MotoGP race, his younger brother is actually angry: Okezone Sports

AUSTIN – Repsol Honda Racer, Marc Marquez, win the race MotoGP USA (USA) 2021 at Circuit of The Americas (COTA), Monday, October 4, 2021. Marquez’s victory sparked the annoyance of his younger brother, Alex Marquez from LCR Honda.

When Marquez took victory, his Honda colleagues, both from Repsol Honda and LCR Honda, did not get good results at COTA. Alex could only finish the race in 12th position or 24 seconds behind his brother.

In this race, Alex had a problem at Turn One at the start of the race that almost made him return to the garage much quicker. Although still able to survive, that one mistake resulted in his position being taken over by another racer.

“I had a good start, but then I collided with another rider at the first corner. As a result, I lost a few more positions,” said Alex Speedweek, Tuesday (5/10/2021).

Not only Alex, other Honda racers also failed to get good results in Austin. Takaaki Nakagami (LCR Honda) briefly crashed, but finished the race in 17th position. Meanwhile, Pol Espargaró (Repsol Honda) finished in 10th position.

With this result, Alex was not satisfied. In fact, he was disappointed because he failed to perform well despite riding the same motorbike as Marquez.

However, he also did not deny that Marc showed a good performance. According to Alex, Marquez can make a difference when he is on his favorite track, namely COTA.

“We came today 24 seconds behind the winner who has the same bike as me, we can’t be satisfied with that result,” he said.

“We know that Marc Marquez usually makes the difference as a rider at this track, but Nakagami is also strong. I will try to learn from them and when we come back next year I will be more competitive.”
