Marc Marquez wins MotoGP Germany 2021, Pol Espargaro wants to imitate The Baby Alien : Okezone Sports

SAXONY – Repsol Honda racer, Marc Marquez, win the race MotoGP Germany 2021 at the Sachsenring Circuit, Sunday 20 June 2021, evening WIB. Marquez’s victory made his team mate, Pol Espargaro, aware that he had to imitate the setup of The Baby Alien motorbike – Marquez’s nickname.

Marquez performed exceptionally in the race despite starting from fifth position and many people doubted him. Doubts arose because Marquez was not physically fit 100 percent after a long absence.

Marquez has been out for a long time to recover his broken right arm in the 2020 Spanish MotoGP race. Since appearing again, starting from the Portugal series to Catalunya, the Spaniard has not found his best performance.

However, Marquez was able to answer those doubts with a brilliant performance at the Sachsenring Circuit. Since the start of the race, Marquez has been competing for first place.

Marquez was also able to overtake Aprilia Gresini’s racer, Aleix Espargaro, to lead the race. Marquez continued to maintain the first position until the race ended.

When Marquez won the race, Pol actually finished 10th. Pol also wanted to imitate Marquez’s RC213V settings to better understand Honda’s motorbike and perform optimally.

“We don’t have the same chassis. I followed my line because I felt I was going well until this race. In attack the timing was not bad, it was fast, but after today’s result… Not because Marc (Marquez) won, but the bike,” Pol said, quoted from Motosan, Monday (21/6/2021).

“What I’m saying is to understand what he’s doing, I need to use exactly the same bike. So, I will understand what he is doing and how I have to carry this bike 100 per cent,” said the Spaniard.

“This is the first day I have finished so far from my partner, I think I have never in my life finished 14 seconds from my partner, and this has opened my eyes. I have to work harder and imitate what he did because it showed me that this bike can win and I am not capable (to bring out the maximum potential of the Honda bike),” he said.

Meanwhile, Marquez extended his slick record at the Sachsenring Circuit. Now, The Baby Alien has won 11 consecutive races at the Sachsenring Circuit.

A total of seven victories achieved by Marquez in MotoGP (2013-2019 and 2021). The rest was obtained by Marquez while performing in the 125cc (2010) and Moto2 (2011 and 2012) classes. For your information, the German MotoGP will not be held in the 2020 season due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
