Marc Marquez involved in the incident with Aleix Espargaro at MotoGP Styria 2021. Valentino Rossi also follow the comments.
There were at least two moments of motorbike collision between Marquez and Espargaro in the race at the Red Bull Ring, Sunday (8/8) yesterday. Respectively occurs before and after the restart due to red flags.
The first incident occurred at the beginning of the race. At that time Pol Espargaro maneuvered from the outside, while Marc Marquez from the inside. The end result, Espargaro widened outside the track after being hit by Marquez.
Aleix Espargaro looked annoyed and immediately protested to Marc Marquez, when the two headed to the pits after the red flag was raised. But after restarting, they were involved in another incident.
Similar to the first incident, this touching scene also occurred at Turn 1. The impact was similar, with Espargaro also widening off the track.
It was then commented on Valentino Rossi, a seasoned rider who will retire after the 2021 MotoGP. Rossi who has also been involved in tough duels with Marc Marquez, said the Spanish rider once again appeared very aggressive.
“The only thing I can say is that Marquez is very aggressive with his rivals,” he said Rossi as reported by Motosan.
“Today with Aleix, at a different time to the other riders. Honestly, I don’t know what to say.”
Marc Marquez himself had already responded to his incident with Aleix. He admitted that the first moment was purely his fault, but the second incident was Espargaro’s fault.
“We had two incidents. The first, it was my fault, because he was a little wide and I was optimistic at that time going on the inside, because in the corner, if you are in doubt, someone will overtake you,” said Marquez, as broadcast on the official MotoGP website.
“But the second one, it was his fault. I started the race better than him, was in a good position, and when I braked I was parallel to him. But he released the brake and went inside. There was Quartararo there, so we bumped. The first one is my fault, the second one is her fault.”
