SHAFTS – Marc Marquez had an accident during the second free practice (FP2) MotoGP The Netherlands at the Assen Circuit, on Friday, June 26, 2021. The Repsol Honda Team racer explained the chronology of the cause of the crash, one of which was due to technical problems.
The second free practice was colored by rain that wet the circuit making the track slippery. At that time, Marquez failed to control the motorbike and was thrown into the circuit barrier at Turn 10.
The racer nicknamed The Baby Alien explained that there was a technical problem that made him fall. Therefore, he hopes that the team’s technicians can fix the shortcomings ahead of the 2021 Dutch MotoGP FP 3.

“At this corner we relied a lot on traction control, but it wasn’t there and when I was cornering the rear started sliding and then I fell,” he said, quoting the Repsol Honda Team page, Saturday (26/6/2021).

For information, tranction control is a common feature on motorcycle MotoGP racers. This feature is useful for preventing tires from slipping and slipping when road conditions are wet when turning corners.
