Marc Marquez Needs One More Month Before He Really Rises : Okezone Sports

MARC Marquez still need another month before it really bounces on MotoGP 2021. That was stated by Manuel Poggiali, 125cc World Champion in 2001 and 250cc World Champion in 2003.

Marquez was initially unable to race in the first two MotoGP 2021 series (Qatar and Doha). The driver is still recovering the condition of his arm after suffering a terrible accident in the 2020 season.

However, he bounced back at the 2021 German MotoGP by taking the first podium. The win saw him retain the title of King of the Sachsenring Circuit, with 11 wins in a row.

He also experienced a similar incident during the first qualifying session (Q1). The accident made Marquez failed to complete Q1. As a result, Marquez had to undergo racing from 20th place.

Even so, Marquez performed quite well during the race. He managed to overcome a number of his rivals so that he was able to finish in 7th place.

Manuel Poggiali assesses Marquez has not really risen. According to him, the 28-year-old racer still needs at least one month to show his best performance.

“Marc has one more month to recover better, I think is a very important element to take into account. We know who he is and he is not at his peak right now, but time is his ally,” he quoted Motosan as saying, Tuesday (6/7/2021).

Therefore, he warned the leader of the 2021 MotoGP standings, Fabio Quartararo, to be vigilant. He suggested that the Monster Yamaha Team racer remain consistent in his appearance on the podium.

“I think it will definitely worry Fabio and take some points to be calmer.”

Quartararo in MotoGP this season has shown a brilliant performance. He has won four races, and has been on the podium six times. Quartararo is in first place in the 2021 MotoGP standings with 156 points ahead of Johan Zarco and Francesco Bagnaia.
