Honda racer Marc Marquez aware of speculation about his future. However, Marquez emphasized his commitment and targeted a revival with Honda.
The six-time MotoGP world champion still has a contract until the end of the 2024 season. However, Marquez is in a slump after three disappointing seasons.
The Spaniard is finding it difficult to be competitive again after suffering a broken arm at the start of 2020. Apart from experiencing limitations regarding his physical condition, Marquez is also not helped by the good performance of the Honda motorbike.
Reportedly MotoGP 2023 will determine the continuation of the career Marc Marquez at Honda: will continue or leave. However, si Baby Alien claimed not to plan to stop halfway. Marquez still wants to win again with Honda.
“I heard about the rumours,” the 30-year-old racer told MotoGP.com. “I have two contracts with Honda and my dream is to rise to the top with Honda.”
“I trust them a lot, we respect each other with great respect. We have a long relationship and I think this will help us to get out of this difficult situation.”
Marquez only finished 13th in the post season trial at Valencia last November. Meanwhile, in the official MotoGP test at Sepang recently, Marquez finished 10th in the combined session. Ducati is still dominant by placing seven riders in the first nine positions.
Portimao will be the last official test before the championship’s first series there on March 26. Marquez admits he has put pressure on Honda to improve the RC213V’s performance before the championship opens there on March 26.
“As you’ve seen in the documentary [Marc Marquez: All In], You must understand when to put pressure. Sometimes you have to do something to get a reaction… and Honda also made demands on me,” he said at the launch of the Honda squad in the middle of this week.
