This is a bitter pill for all Hessian football fans: The Marburg Mercenaries are withdrawing from the German Football League. “Yesterday, after long, intensive discussions and weighing up all the arguments in the board, we unanimously decided to inform the AFVD and the GFL in a timely manner that we would voluntarily waive the license for the 1st or 2nd Bundesliga in 2024,” it said in a statement club on Friday.
