“Marawed”: An Art Exhibition Celebrating Young Emirati Artists at Sultan Bin Ali Al Owais Cultural Foundation in Dubai

At the Sultan Bin Ali Al Owais Cultural Foundation in Dubai, the activities of the art exhibition (Marawed) began, in which 38 creative young Emirati artists and residents participate, with 59 artworks distributed in the corridors of the Foundation.

The opening ceremony was attended by Dr. Suleiman Musa Al Jassim, Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Dr. Fatima Al Sayegh, member of the Board of Trustees, Naglaa Al Awar, member of the Board of Trustees, artist Dr. Najat Makki (curator of the exhibition), artist Salem Al Junaibi, President of the Emirates Fine Arts Society, and a number of Emirati artists in addition to A group of writers and intellectuals, and a large audience of art lovers.

The audience toured the corridors of the exhibition, which included 16 inspiring sculptural works and 43 collection paintings, ranging from various schools of classicism to modernity, up to surreal visions, miniatures and aesthetic motifs that won the admiration of the attendees.

The art critic, Dr. Noha Farran, Editor-in-Chief of Al-Tashkeel magazine, gave a lecture on the works participating in the exhibition, in which she showed the aesthetics of the local environment that appeared in many works.

Najat Makki thanked the Al Owais Cultural Foundation for organizing a youth event that celebrates the new faces in the world of plastic art. Artist Salma Al-Marri also praised the beautiful experiences and encouraged them to follow the path of creativity, as did the sculptor Moatasem Al-Kubaisi, praising the sculptural experiences.

Dr. Fatima Al-Sayegh presented a certificate of appreciation to the critic Noha Farran, and a certificate of appreciation to Dr. Najat Makki, thanking her for her apparent effort in the exhibition and wishing her more success.
