With four classes, this school will find itself at the start of the school year with only two classes, following a new closure, due to the reduction in the number of enrolments. The noted departures of pupils in other establishments, which should normally integrate Maransin, are linked to several problems. The first would crystallize around difficult children who would disturb the whole class. The second problem would be due to the very high absenteeism of teachers. 95 half-days of absence were recorded from October to May, only 16 were replaced. There were school days without a teacher.
The mayor pointed to a failure of the state, and tried with his colleagues to discuss with the Academy. “They make fun of us, they despise us, the academy inspector does not answer,” he was indignant. Another problem would be related to the presence of a teacher who is not unanimous with parents.
Last chance
A last chance meeting was held on July 8 with Marie Christine Hébrard, Academic Director. “The meeting went well, we were listened to. She was aware of the difficulties at school and promised to put an end to this situation at the start of the school year, ”reports Bernard Bacci.
