No less than forty gendarmes from the companies of Metz and Thionville arrested, this Tuesday March 16 in the early morning, two men of 29 and 42 years old, in a camp in Marange-Silvange.
The tandem, already known for similar acts, is suspected of having committed several burglaries in tool stores. With, each time, a similar operating mode.

Using a stolen vehicle
First, a vehicle, mainly a Renault Scenic, was stolen. Then the duo went to the scene of the mischief and in a few minutes, broke the door of the business to steal grinders, grinders, cases filled with tools … The car used for the burglary was then set on fire.
These facts were committed mainly in the area of Metz but also on the side of Thionville. On the night of Monday March 15 to Tuesday March 16, it was a vehicle theft in Illange, followed by burglaries in the Metz and Thionville area and even in Meurthe-et-Moselle, which led to these arrests in the context of a flagrant investigation.

40,000 € of damage
Between the stolen vehicles and the stolen material, part of which was found by the gendarmes during the searches, the damage would be estimated at around € 40,000. The two men are still in police custody and could be tried soon in immediate appearance at the TGI of Metz.
