The spokesperson of the Maramureş County Police, Anca Pop, declared for News.ro that the call was made around 16:00, and the woman called to announce that there are traffic jams.
“The crews of the Local Police and the Traffic Police from the municipality were announced”, the representative of IPJ Maramureş specified.

“How to solve the daily congestion, but especially on Friday… too many unsynchronized traffic lights… We ended up being called by educators that my child was the last… I was blocked in traffic. I leave work at 4pm and pick up the child after 40 minutes in traffic… away from the Great Square at the train station… I called the local police who told me they couldn’t do anything after I called 112 to be able to talk to someone from the traffic police (because no one answers the number on the site)… I was told that they have 2 crews at their disposal and they will see colleagues if it is really necessary to intervene in directing traffic because there was no one from them to decongest the traffic… Both institutions told me to file a complaint with the mayor’s office because everything depends on those in the mayor’s office… ”wrote the woman, according to the local journalists from actualmm.ro.
