Maraisa, singer in the duo with Maiara, shared moments of her meeting with a woman driving a truck in honor of Marília Mendonça, a country girl who died in November 2021. The video in which Maraisa talks to the driver and a photo of the two in front of the tribute was published by the singer’s fiancé, Fernando Mocó, on Instagram.
As for the owner of the truck, she is truck driver Laís Oliveira. On her Instagram, it is possible to find images of the truck with a tribute to Marília Mendonça since February 2022.
“Maraisa stopped me on the road. I was coming, as always, and, as I paid this tribute to Marília, there are a lot of people who are fans and, when they see my truck, they take a photo, honk and so on. I realized that I had a car, but it never crossed my mind that it could be [ela]”, revealed Laís in stories.
Then, she continued, emotionally: “The car stopped next to me and a girl opened the window and showed me, like, a badge. I tried to understand what she was showing me. When I looked, Maraísa lay down in the front seat and I I was in shock. I didn’t know what I was doing.”
