Māra Grīva wins the second place in long jump in the competition in Finland / Article

Māra Grīva won the second place in the Motonet Grand Prix competition held in Espoo, Finland on Thursday, with a result of 6.28 meters, reports the Latvian Athletics Union (LVS).

The estuary achieved the best result in the fourth attempt.

In the first jump, her result was 6.24 meters, the next two were not scored, but in the last two attempts, she jumped 6.27 and 6.03 meters, respectively.

Kaisa Karlenen from Sweden won – 6.52 meters, but the hostess Anne MariLehtie was third – 6.06 meters.

In the show jumping, Mareks Arents made his starting height of 5.26 meters in the first attempt in the eight-home competition, but one jump of 5.46 meters and two jumps of 5.56 meters were unsuccessful. With that, Arent ranked fourth.

Miko Pāvula won with the result of 5.62 meters, but Tommi Holtinen and Urho Kujanpē also climbed to the podium with the result of 5.36 meters.

Maksims Sinčukovs finished sixth in the 400-meter hurdles, and the result of 52.11 seconds is the best in Latvia this year. Winner Chris McAllister finished from the UK after 49.61 seconds.

Makars Korotkovs, on the other hand, achieved the best result of this year’s throwing competition in Latvia in throwing a hammer – 60.60 meters.
