Data on the coronavirus situation in France continues to be closely monitored. More and more departments are once again becoming areas of vigilance due to the active circulation of the virus. This Sunday, September 20, 2020, 89 departments are in a vulnerable situation, including 53 in the red zone. The entire Île de France and more than half of France are now concerned.
Regarding the development of the situation Sunday 20 September 2020, there is 10.569 new confirmed cases in 24 hours. There is therefore in total at least 453.763 people affected by coronavirus since the start of the epidemic in France. There is, this September 20, 2020, 3.894 new people hospitalized during the last 7 days in France, including 593 patients in intensive care. 12 people are deceased in France during the last 24 hours or 31,585 in total.

Regarding the color of the departments, 57 departments have a incidence rate, i.e. a number of positive cases per 100,000 inhabitants, greater than 50 and one unfavorable epidemic dynamics. he are therefore now located in the red zone or Active virus circulation area. Concretely, this means that prefects of these departments will be able promptly take further preventive and restrictive measures as well as new sanitary rules to try to stem the spread of the Coronavirus.
