Map of France Coronavirus: vulnerable departments, red and scarlet zone

Data on the coronavirus situation in France continues to be closely monitored. More and more departments are once again becoming areas of vigilance due to the active circulation of the virus. This Monday, October 12, 2020, 74 departments are in a situation of high vulnerability and 74 in the red zone including 6 scarlet and 12 in the maximum alert zone including Paris and the inner suburbs.

Regarding the development of the situation Monday 12 October 2020, there is 8.505 new confirmed cases in 24 hours. There is therefore in total at least 743.479 people affected by coronavirus since the start of the epidemic in France. There is, this October 12, 2020, 5.350 new people hospitalized these last 7 days in France, including 929 new patients who were admitted in intensive care. 96 people are deceased in France during the last 24 hours or 32,825 in total.

92 departments are in a situation of vigilance:

Concretely, this means that prefects of these departments will be able promptly take further preventive and restrictive measures as well as new sanitary rules to try to stem the spread of the Coronavirus.

As of October 12, 2020, 54 departments are in the red zone, 6 in the scarlet zone, 12 in the maximum alert zone. Paris and the inner suburbs (Hauts-de-Seine, Seine – Saint-Denis and Val de Marne) as well as Aix-Marseille, Lille, Lyon, Grenoble, Saint-Étienne and Guadeloupe then Toulouse and Montpellier which pass into maximum alert zone from Tuesday October 13, 2020.
