Data on the coronavirus situation in France continues to be closely monitored. More and more departments are once again becoming areas of vigilance due to the active circulation of the virus. This Saturday, October 31, 2020, 96 departments are in a situation of high vulnerability, the whole of France is in a state of health emergency. France is entering confinement again for at least until December 1, 2020.
Regarding the development of the situation Saturday, October 31, 2020, there is 35.641 new confirmed cases in 24 hours. There is therefore in total at least 1.364.625 people affected by coronavirus since the start of the epidemic in France. There is, this October 31, 2020, 16.865 new people hospitalized these last 7 days in France, including 2.507 new patients who were admitted in intensive care. 224 people are deceased in France during the last 24 hours, i.e. 36.788 au total.

At Wednesday, October 28, 2020, the incidence rate, i.e. the number of patients having a test Positive RT-PCR per 100,000 inhabitants per week amounted to 436.3. The R, representing the average number of people infected by every person with COVID-19, is he 1.33 October 27. The occupancy rate of intensive care beds in France is 68.1% as of October 31, 2020 and 20.18% of tests carried out in France are positive as of October 28, 2020.
In addition to the 3 criteria used so far, namely the active virus circulation, the hospital pressure on resuscitation capacities and the ability to test, lthe general directorate of health explains that the authorities are examining other indicators such as, for example, the positive screening rate.
The whole of France will be reconfigured for a period of at least 4 weeks from Friday October 30, 2020.
