Map of France Coronavirus: departments under curfew at 6 p.m. and saturation of hospitals by region

Data on the coronavirus situation in France continues to be closely monitored. More and more departments are once again becoming areas of vigilance due to the active circulation of the virus. This Monday, January 25, 2021, 59.9% of intensive care beds are occupied in France. 100 departments are in a highly vulnerable situation, the whole of France is in a state of health emergency and subject to an advanced curfew from 6 p.m.

Regarding the development of the situation Sunday 24 January 2021, there is 4,240 new confirmed cases. There is therefore in total at least 3.057.857 people affected by coronavirus since the start of the epidemic in France. As of January 24, 2021, there is 11.155 new people hospitalized these last 7 days in France, including 1,706 new patients who were admitted in intensive care. 445 people are deceased in France since the last assessment is 73,494 deaths in total dont 51.518 (+445) in the hospital and 21.976 in Ehpad. At least 1.008.720 (+45.581) people have been vaccinated in France.

At January 22, 2021, the incidence rate, i.e. the number of patients having a test Positive RT-PCR per 100,000 inhabitants per week was still increasing and amounted to 208. The R, representing the average number of people infected by every person with COVID-19, is 1,09. The occupancy rate of intensive care beds in France is 59,9 % on the date of 23 january 2020. 7,1 % of tests carried out in France are positive over the last 7 days.

Jean-Castex announced a curfew at 6 p.m. throughout the country for at least 15 days. The incidence rate by department remains an indicator to be monitored very closely to monitor the evolution of the epidemic.
