Map of 9 Political Parties Supporting or Rejecting Jakarta Formula E Interpellation

The voice of rejection echoed after the discourse of reopening the meeting Interpellation Formula E back to the public. At least, 5 of the 9 factions in the DKI DPRD strongly reject the interpellation of Formula E being rolled out again.

Meanwhile, the five factions that rejected the interpellation consisted of the Gerindra, PKS, Democrat, PAN and Golkar factions. In fact, in its latest statement, Gerindra DKI Jakarta invites the two factions to immediately end the interpellation ‘drama’.

“In fact, I want to invite the proposer. Earlier, I invited the rejecters, I invited again, that’s enough. This drama is over,” said Secretary of Commission D of the DKI Jakarta DPRD from the Gerindra faction, Syarif, to journalists, Thursday ( 21/4/2022).

Syarif emphasized that the Gerindra Faction’s decision was unanimous Interpellation Formula E was rolled back even though the faction that initiated the interpellation invited to attend the plenary session to express its refusal.

“Politics cannot be measured only by formalistic legalism, people come and are declared refusal, there it is declared complete, no. Political psychology must be considered. It is no longer a formalistic legalistic issue, with an attitude of not attending it is a decision,” he asserted.

Similar to Gerindra, Golkar DKI Jakarta also refused to open the interpellation meeting again. The chairman of the Golkar faction of the DKI Jakarta DPRD, Basri Baco, asked the council leadership to think about the people rather than being busy conducting interpellations.

“I suggest that the leadership of the council think about the fate of the people of Jakarta, who are still much below the poverty line, and budget for social assistance that is a lot to help them rather than being busy taking care of interpellations,” said Basri Baco when contacted, Thursday (14/4/2022).
