The Chief of Staff, Juan Manzur, remarked that “we must continue to insist on the social responsibility of complying with preventive measures and completing vaccination schedules” against the coronavirus, which this Tuesday registered 33,902 new cases and 20 deaths.
Manzur said those words after participating in the “Matanza Innova” award ceremony and presentation of the Digital Document Management (GDD) platform, which was held at the Dr. “Alberto Balestrini” Sports Center, in the Buenos Aires town of Lomas del Mirador, together with the mayor of the La Matanza district, Fernando Espinoza.

The Chief of Staff, in statements to the press, made the request “for all Argentines to strictly comply with the vaccination schedules to be protected” and said that “the virus is and will continue to circulate.”
“These new variants have a greater diffusion capacity. What we have seen so far is that the vast majority have mild symptoms or are asymptomatic. But a small percentage need hospitalizations and a much smaller percentage is the one that gets complicated and worse. Those people that are not vaccinated are those that are aggravated and have greater possibilities of death, “he summarized.
Manzur stated that “this new variant, the Ómicron, will be the predominant one “, and expanded: “Given this, we have to continue to respect the regulations issued by the Ministry of Health and appeal to social responsibility. We must continue to insist on completing the vaccination schedules.”
For the chief of ministers, “It is necessary to monitor the occupation of the health system, as has been done in the previous increases in cases”, and pointed to “continue evaluating and monitoring.”
“Now the end of the year parties are coming and we have to meet in spacious, ventilated places, with the corresponding distance and that all who participate have the complete vaccination schedules. We are going to continue monitoring how this third wave is behaving, which is installed in Argentina, “said Manzur.
“We have seen that in North America the days of isolation have been reduced. This too, surely, will be reduced here,” he added.
According to the national official, “There is going to be a sustained rise in cases and it is necessary to monitor what is the occupation of the health system.”
“This time there is the vaccine and we have to insist on completing the vaccination schedules. All Argentines have that possibility,” he added.
In addition, he noted that the implementation of the health pass “is going to be evaluated and monitored.”
“Europe is experiencing a complicated situation, but there are very important populations in which these groups are, that I do not know what to call them, who are against or are anti-vaccines, and they are the places where this pathology becomes more aggressive,” he said.
“In the world, the health pass is a reality. It is one of the great challenges that all Argentines have as a society,” he concluded.
