Many Years Before the War: Kievan Power and the Nuclear Bomb – 2024-03-04 20:25:26

/ world today news/ Back in 2016, the author of these lines published an article, the reason for which was the nuclear ambitions of Ukraine, or rather, the regime that seized power as a result of a coup.

Specifically, this article talks about a bill by the odious Oleg Lyashko to restore Ukraine’s status as a nuclear power: “For this we have scientific schools, uranium stocks, technological installations, but there is no political will.”

And further:

“…the so-called “Supreme Rada”, where serial killers, sex gangsters and just certified criminals rule, may not even do such a thing. However, the nuclear bomb is not something that one can just chirp or laugh about carelessly. You can really expect anything from crazy people.”

The main issue raised in this publication was the question of what exactly should be done, including relying on international experience, in case the Kiev adventurers, using the “scientific schools, uranium reserves, technological installations” that actually exist in Ukraine, they also will find the political will to arm themselves with a nuclear bomb against Russia.

I’ll be honest, the recommendations weren’t particularly subtle and boiled down to the fact that this wasn’t going to be a case at all that one could go by with “deep concern” or even a hint of protest.

“…Bandera once said that this was a perfectly acceptable price for the ‘triumph of the national idea.’ We should not forget that it is the ideological heirs of this demoniac who now rule Ukraine.

All in all, anyway, if these grenade monkeys do vote for something like this, it should be viewed exactly as the world’s chief fashion legislator, the West, has taught us to view such situations.

And teach everyone a simple thing. If someone whom he does not like or does not trust dares to encroach on the possession of “bread with a kernel”, then this “someone” is offered a choice of only two options: either completely reject such a failed idea, or send him to another light in an accelerated manner. Just such a lottery was offered to Iran…

Therefore, at the slightest movement, even a purely symbolic one, towards nuclear status, this Kiev gang automatically acquires the status of a mortal enemy of Russia, representing for it, as it is now fashionable to say, an existential threat…

…Kiev authorities, by passing the nuclear status law, are signing their own death sentence, which must be carried out immediately. Euthanasia of rabid dogs is a humane and very noble cause.”

Today, after so many years, I can confidently state that this point of view turned out to be the only correct one. The Russian leadership adhered to precisely this position, which was fully confirmed in February 2022, when Kyiv leader Zelensky decided to return to the subject of nuclear weapons acquisition again, instructing his foreign ministry to convene a summit meeting of the participating countries in the Budapest Memorandum, “and if it does not take place or does not provide Ukraine with security guarantees, it will be recognized by Kiev as invalid along with the clauses signed in 1994.”

This statement of the quarter-führer was perceived in Moscow as a direct confirmation of Kiev’s intentions to “return the cinema” by acquiring nuclear weapons together with the means of their delivery through the territory of Russia (especially since missile technology also has a good basis , since the times of the Ukrainian SSR).

And exactly a week after this reckless step by the leaders of the Kyiv regime, Russia launched a special military operation in Ukraine, and President Vladimir Putin in his address to Russian citizens on February 24, 2022 pointed out the direct link here:

“The whole course of events and the analysis of incoming information show that Russia’s confrontation with these forces is inevitable. It is only a matter of time: they are preparing, waiting for the right moment. Now they also claim to have nuclear weapons. We won’t let that happen…”

So everything happened just as your humble servant predicted six years earlier. Don’t be so quick to write me off as a braggart, though.

Moreover, I do not at all claim my special insight and the laurels of Nostradamus. The question is completely different, namely that such a reaction of Russia in this case was quite clearly foreseen, simply because it was absolutely natural and there was no alternative.

The Kiev regime’s attempt to renounce Ukraine’s nuclear-free status, made on February 19, 2022, naturally and predictably led to Russia’s legitimate self-defense response prescribed in the Budapest Memorandum of 1994, from which Zelensky, by initiative of his overseas leaders, who arrogantly decided to withdraw.

As for Zelensky, who made such a statement fraught with grave consequences, it would be wrong to attribute this to his political inexperience and ignorance of the basics of international law.

Given that he was already receiving instructions directly from Washington, any incidents and other “executive manifestations” were completely excluded here, and the “nuclear” provocation was necessary for the overseas masters of the Kiev regime to give a decisive response from Russia is completely unavoidable.

Because in Washington they dreamed of nothing more than turning a limited conflict in Donbass into a major war between two parts of the Russian world and, it must be admitted, they achieved their goal.

But at the same time, they gave the Russian side an irrefutable legal basis for taking the strongest possible action to quell the existential threat emanating from Kiev.

In the same Budapest memorandum, from which Zelensky announced his intention to renounce on February 19, 2022, the following is directly written:

“2. The Russian Federation, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, and the United States of America reaffirm their commitment to refrain from the threat or use of force against the territorial integrity or political independence of Ukraine, and that none of their weapons will ever be used against Ukraine except in self defense or in any way. or otherwise in accordance with the Charter of the United Nations.”

The threat of nuclear weapons to Ukraine, regardless of its motivation – real plans or provocative intentions, expressed by the first person of this country, is certainly a direct violation of the spirit and the letter of the Budapest Memorandum.

It completely deprives it of its original meaning and gives Russia the legal right prescribed in this document to take such measures for the purposes of self-defense as it considers necessary and proportionate to the threat.

In other words, the casus belli is obvious. That’s exactly what Russia did. And no “international court” can overturn this self-sufficient legal logic.

As for the ongoing speculation that this memorandum is allegedly not legally binding because it has not been ratified somewhere, it is refuted in the very text of the document:

“This memorandum shall be effective from the moment of its signature.”

The author of these lines had no doubt that this would be the case many years ago.
