many teachers would return to the field as a result of the wage increase – Dunakanyar Region

As a result of the increase in teachers’ salaries, many teachers would return to the field, said the parliamentary secretary of the Ministry of the Interior (BM), after meeting with the leaders of parent organizations at the Ministry of the Interior on Wednesday.

Bence Rétvári said that more and more teachers who had previously left the field are inquiring about the possibility of returning to the heads of institutions. He added that the increased interest is good news.

The state secretary reminded that the government raised the wages of teachers and kindergarten teachers by 32.2 percent this year, and plans to raise another 21 percent next year. He noted that previously there was a 10-10 percent salary increase, so teacher salaries increased by 93.5 percent in four years.

At the meeting, they also discussed the restructuring of the mid-year school holidays. Many parents support the solution of longer mid-year school breaks and shorter summer vacations – that state secretary explained. Among the arguments, it was said that the longer mid-year break gives children a more effective opportunity to relax and rest, he said. He added that the shorter summer vacation makes it easier for parents to place their children during the day.
Katalin Balatoni, the Deputy Secretary of State for Public Education of the Ministry of Education, said: schools are being asked to pay special attention to the gradual transfer of grades to the Kréta system. As a reason, he said that the parents’ organizations indicated that the release of grades would be backlogged before the end of the semester and the end of the year.
