Zelensky’s remarks referred to the Moscow fighter jets that were shot down in the Kharkiv region.
“Our military has shot down so many Russian jets and helicopters that one can only wonder, what do their pilots have instead of brains? Also emptiness?” he said.
“I said ‘also’ not by chance, because they have a void in their hearts and souls, not everything that makes humans human,” he explained.

“Russian troops don’t even know what it’s like to be free. They were pushed here, to be honest, like death row inmates, sentenced to disgrace,” he added in an interview with Ukraine’s public broadcaster, SuspilneTuesday (22/3/2022) early morning.
Zelensky reiterated that it was impossible for him to accept Russia’s ultimatum to surrender.
“We cannot accept an ultimatum from Russia. How can we, after our people are killed?” Zelensky said.
“That’s impossible. No way…let’s say they demand to get Kharkiv, or Mariupol, or Kyiv. The people of these cities won’t let them do it. The only way they can take the city is by killing everyone. , and take the empty city.”
