Pauline explained that this service is priced from Rp. 14-30 million, depending on the length of the trip and the type of vaccine used. For example, for the Johnson and Johnson vaccine, the injection dose is one time so that the length of stay in America is only 5-6 days so this package can be cheaper.
Meanwhile, for other types of vaccines that require two injection doses, the price is more expensive because it requires a longer time to stay in the US.
Pauline explained that if you look at the trend, nowadays many people travel to the US because it’s time to graduate from college there. Visa processing for visiting the United States can still be done. So that the specifics of buying this package are not too much when compared to buying loose plane tickets.
“Currently, many only buy loose tickets. Because it’s graduation season. Only 30 percent of those who buy packages buy tickets to America. After all, access to vaccines can also be taken care of by using a tourist visa,” he said.
One that offers this vaccine travel package is ATS Vacation. From one of the ads seen CNBC Indonesia offers a package of 27 days 24 nights in Los Angeles with a shot of the Pfizer vaccine, for IDR 28 million per person.
The facilities obtained include return tickets for Economy class, airport tax 7 fuel surcharge, 1% VAT, private car according to the event, 24 nights hotel accommodation, and PCR costs in Los Angeles.
ATS Travel Marketing Head Josephine Nathania Lienardi revealed that the enthusiasm of the people who ordered this service was quite high.
“The enthusiasm is very high, we get a lot of questions, because they are eyeing vaccines that do not yet exist in Indonesia, such as Pfizer or Moderna,” he said quoting, ABC News, Sunday (18/7).
ATS itself offers vaccination travel packages with a price starting from Rp. 14 million for three nights in Los Angeles. The average tour will take place from June to November. Service buyers are also free to choose to get the vaccine they want.
“They can choose to have the injection or not, it’s up to them,” the ATS said.
