Jakarta, CNN Indonesia —
PSIS Semarang CEO Yoyok Sukawi said that there had been no offers from foreign clubs for Primary Arhan after defending Indonesian National team from AFF Cup 2020 (2021).
Arhan won the AFF Cup 2020 Best Young Player after impressing. Although the Indonesian national team was only the runner-up in the championship, Arhan proved his quality as a prospective young player.
“Actually, no one has officially bid, but it’s been crowded on social media, in the media, agents’ friends have been asked, but officially the club to the club has talks, offers, nothing yet,” said Yoyok.
Yoyok revealed that the 20-year-old left-back is still under contract with Laskar Mahesa Jenar until 2023. Although it is still long, PSIS is ready to release Arhan if the club bids from Japan, Korea or Europe.
If an offer comes from a Southeast Asian club, Yoyok will refuse. According to him, Arhan must appear in a competition that is above Indonesia’s quality. The competition in ASEAN is considered by Yoyok to be still equivalent to the Indonesian League.
If until the end of the 2021/2022 Liga 1 season there is no club bidding for Arhan, PSIS will be active. Yoyok will find a club for Arhan abroad to improve the quality of his game.
“But later PSIS will play an active role. If it comes to the end of this season [Liga 1 2021/2022] there is still no official offer, we will play an active role in communicating with clubs abroad,” said Yoyok.
Arhan is currently a byword for Indonesian national team supporters. Arhan’s presence in the Indonesian national team feels very positive. The player from Blora even contributed two goals from six appearances.
Of the six matches, Arhan also matched the report of Theerathon Bunmathan, a Thai player who played in Japan, in terms of creating chances. Arhan made 13 chances in the biennial championship.
