Many events planned in both countries

Large-scale events highlighting the riches of Moroccan art and culture will be held in Qatar and Morocco in the coming weeks.

On the program, the promotion of art and craft traditions, as well as major exhibitions, culinary experiences, musical events and even sporting events.

“Highlighting the creative genius and civilizational dynamics of the Kingdom of Morocco” is the expected objective of Morocco within the framework of the Morocco-Qatar Cultural Year 2024.

After the exhibition of the Berber Jewelry Collection at the Palais Royal which highlighted the magnificence of Berber jewelry and which had enjoyed great success with both Moroccan and Qatari aesthetes, many other events are planned, including the most important ones. stand out as major and unique events on the Moroccan and Qatari cultural scene.

This weekend, the Longines Global Champion Tour will take place. Rabat will thus host a prestigious international show jumping event which brings together the best riders and horses in the world, in a unique location, specially designed for the occasion, next to the new Mohammed V theater.

The following week, October 23 and 24, 2024, the Fashion Trust Arabia will be held in Marrakech. A flagship event putting the creativity of Arab fashion in the spotlight. Dar Al Maghrib will then constitute the crucial point of this year. Inspired by the architecture of Ksar Aït Benhaddou, this pavilion is designed as an immersive space of 1200 m2 built in Doha, near the Museum of Islamic Art.

The interior is laid out in 4 distinct spaces: Morocco as a land of confluences; Land of Light; Land of Gathering and finally Land of Passion. Unique in its kind, Dar Al Maghrib will be inaugurated on November 1st.

Subsequently, the Museum of Islamic Art in Qatar will host the exhibition “Splendors of the Atlas”, highlighting more than 200 new works of art from various Moroccan institutions.

In a completely different aspect, on November 16 and 17, the Qatar Africa Business Forum will be held in Marrakech. The event will aim to promote sustainable partnerships between Qatar and Morocco with a focus on development, entrepreneurship and innovation.

On November 30, 2024, the Caftan Fashion Show will take place in Doha. An exceptional fashion show highlighting 10 Moroccan caftan designers. Inspired by Ghazali poetry and Arabic calligraphy, this parade is an ode to Moroccan craftsmanship.

Finally, the highlight, on December 18, 2024, will be held, still in Doha, the Tbourida Show. Moroccan riders dressed in traditional outfits will offer the Qatari and international public an exceptional fresco of Moroccan culture combining cadence, rhythm and coordination and brilliantly celebrating Moroccan equestrian art.

Other more exclusive artistic and cultural events will continue to punctuate this year’s agenda in both countries.

The Years of Culture Qatar-Morocco 2024 initiative is a unique event and an exceptional opportunity to introduce Qatar and the entire world to the richness of Morocco’s cultural heritage in all its diversity and its particularities and which make Morocco a country unique centuries-old.
