Many empty shop-houses are up for sale, virtual offices are becoming a trend

Jakarta

Lately in Jakarta a lot empty office even sold. This is because many office tenants do not renew their contracts in 2023.

Apart from that, there are also various building and office projects that will be completed in 2023, so that it becomes a big challenge for property entrepreneurs, especially office or building rental services.

Chairman of the Association of Indonesian Joint Office Service Entrepreneurs (PERJAKBI) or the Indonesia Workspace & Digital Startup Accelerator Association, Anthony Leong, said that in 2023 there will be challenges as well as great opportunities for businesses in the office or building rental service sector. This is because currently the trend of smaller virtual offices and serviced offices is a solution for entrepreneurs who want to streamline from a large office to a small serviced office or for startups and SMEs to work and create.

“Virtual Office as well as Serviced Office services (small private offices) are the choice for novice entrepreneurs, startups and MSMEs and are a trend now and in the future, because they are quite flexible in using the various facilities in them and are efficient,” said Anthony quoted Sunday (29/1/2023).

Anthony added, the small-sized Virtual Office and Serviced Office ecosystems have quite affordable prices. Of course, this can be a solution and an alternative for entrepreneurs who are going to make office space cost efficiencies in 2023.

“Perjakbi is currently opening opportunities for all building owners in Jakarta to be able to optimize their building space as virtual offices and serviced offices as startup and MSME incubators and become an alternative for entrepreneurs who want efficiency from small offices to smaller offices,” said Anthony who is also Co-Founder of the Office Tower.

Perjakbi is currently innovating by collaborating with various parties such as IPB and the Indonesian Young Entrepreneurs Association (HIPMI), to be able to build a business incubation center, which provides various facilities. Examples include co-working, virtual offices, serviced offices, and banking services for venture capital. So that this ecosystem is able to provide added value for entrepreneurs.

“We are opening up opportunities to collaborate with buildings in big cities to optimize their assets so that they are not idle. Currently, with the issue of a recession, everyone is worried, especially for office operators in Jakarta, worried about the capital moving to East Kalimantan, so that only entrepreneurs who are innovative and high fighting spirit who will win in 2023 and in the future,” said Anthony who is also the Chair of the HIPMI Digital Academy.
