In Italy, almost 400 people have died of the coronavirus in the last 24 hours. The number of currently positive continues to decrease.
After the number of corona deaths fell below the 300 mark on Saturday and Sunday, the curve now points up again. In the last 24 hours, 382 people have died of coronavirus (compared to 333 on Monday).
The total number of deaths thus rises to 27,359.
The 200,000 mark of the infected has now also been exceeded. In Italy, 201,505 people have been infected with the virus in the past few months, almost 69,000 people have recovered, 105,250 people are currently positive (608 fewer than on Monday).
This means: In Italy only 34 percent of those infected are cured, in Germany this value is 73 percent!
Unfortunately, while the number of people recovered rose by 2,317, the value of new infections remains relatively high: Between Monday and Tuesday, 2,324 people tested positive.
The number of those who have recovered and those who test positive is more or less balanced.
The fact that the number of intensive care patients and the number of inpatients treated with infections continue to decline is very positive. There are still 1,863 patients receiving intensive care (93 fewer than on Monday), and the number of in-patient patients has decreased by 630 (to 19,723). The pressure on the medical structures continues to decrease, which is the priority goal of the emergency measures.
