Let’s go for nine days of festivities! From October 29 to November 7, the hearts of the people of Le Havre will beat to the rhythm of the Transat Jacques Vabre, the famous transatlantic race in which Le Havre is the city of the big start. The starting village opened on Friday, October 29 in the Paul Vatine basin. The opportunity to admire the 76 boats in competition that will take the coffee route on November 7.

Before departure, dozens of activities will be offered to the public: fireworks, escape games, concerts or boat tours, which will punctuate the life of the Village. Discover the program!

The village is open every day from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. (night-time until 10 p.m. on October 29, 30 and November 6). The health pass or PCR / antigen test or certificate of recovery from Covid-19 will be necessary for you to access the center and the village.

  • IMOCA monohulls will be presented on the Quai de la Réunion
  • Class40 monohulls and Ocean Fifty trimarans will be Quai des Antilles

Sailing baptisms

Built in Nantes in 1896, the Belem began its career transporting cocoa beans between France, South America and the West Indies. Today it is one of the oldest large sailing ships in the world.
