Quito, July 16 (Quito Reports).- With the purpose of recovering the traditional dances of Ecuador and to promote new cultural groups, the Manuela Sáenz Zonal Administration (AZMS) held the ‘Dance and Theater Festival’ at Casa Somos San Marcos, this Saturday, July 15.
The event included the presentation of several cultural groups, which have been participating since January this year to show their colorful choreographies such as: Eko Arte, Danzando Tierra, Unandes International Ballet, Khuyana Kawsay Ballet, the San Simón Cultural Group, El Quinde, Kaimandamiy Ecuador de Colores closed the artistic gala with a flourish.
Alejandro Ortiz, administrator of the Manuela Sáenz Zone, welcomed those present and gave a motivating message to the dancers. The music and the color of the presentations of the groups captivated those present.
The organizers of Casa Somos San Marcos informed that the presentations are held monthly and invited citizens to be aware of the artistic programs and enjoy the next presentation of the District Gala the following month.
