Austria Wien extends the contract of sports director Manuel Ortlechner by three more years.
As the “Violets” announced on Monday, the working paper of the 43-year-old is now as long as that of sports director Jürgen Werner. Ortlechner has been FAK sports director since 2021.
“We are proud that we were able to sign Manuel Ortlechner for another three years,” explains Jürgen Werner.
“In the first year and a half of our cooperation we have already implemented a lot, now we are continuing on our path together. I am glad that I still have Manuel by my side with his sporting expertise and his heart for Austria,” Werner continued.
Ortlechner: “We had the goal of reinventing Austria”
Ortlechner himself explains: “I would like to thank the club for the trust that the club has placed in me. I am happy that I can continue to help shape the club in the sporting area.”
“When I started as sporting director two years ago, we had the goal of reinventing Austria a little bit. I think a lot has changed since then and that we’ve done well in the first step,” says the sports director.
