The regional marketing association Oberpfalz Marketing appointed Manuel Köppl as its new managing director at the beginning of the month.
Among other things, Köppl was deputy head of department and chief reporter at the technology magazine “Chip” and PR head of the Bavarian Forest National Park Administration. In 2016, the native of Upper Palatinate moved to the Eon subsidiary Bayernwerk AG in Regensburg. From mid-2017 on, he was Head of Press and Media. Most recently, Köppl was the global financial press spokesman for the Continental subsidiary Vitesco Technologies in Regensburg since the middle of last year – until the Continental Corporation postponed the spin-off and IPO of its e-mobility division for an indefinite period of time.
Köppl is now in charge of Upper Palatinate Marketing in Regensburg, a platform that aims to position the part of Bavaria as a strong economic and living space in the competition between the regions. The 37-year-old is the successor to Christoph Aschenbrenner, who, according to the club, is devoting himself to new professional challenges after twelve years in Upper Palatinate Marketing.
