With the permission of the Covid-19, which may force new restrictions to be approved in the coming weeks, the Roquetas de Mar City Council is preparing these days for the reopening of the Auditorium Theater, the largest scenic space in the city, which has been closed since the outbreak of the pandemic, almost a year ago. In fact, it is already preparing a program that, although it has not been presented yet, IDEAL has been able to know that it will be marked by theater and musical shows such as that of Sonia Miranda or the tribute to Mecano ‘Son of the moon’.
The Roquetero City Council has these days in tender the private contract for the award of the shows with a total of seven companies that will distribute as many lots, with a final investment price of 105,600 euros.
The program will open this coming January 22 with the theatrical performance ‘Trigo Sucio’ and a week later, on January 30, with another theatrical production, ‘Intocables’. The day before, on the 29th, the musical show ‘Maestrissimo’ will be performed.
The artist Sonia Miranda will be in charge of opening the month of February, in a concert scheduled for the 6th, while on February 13 it will be the turn of the play ‘The things that I know that are true’. For its part, on February 20 will be the moment of the concert of the violinist Strad ‘Opposite Worlds’ and the month will end with another play, ‘The geometry of wheat’ on the 27th.
The play ‘The Alibi’ will arrive on March 6, and a week later the musical in tribute to the Mecano group, ‘Son of the moon’, which is scheduled for March 13. For his part, the comedian Manu Sánchez, will be in charge, on March 20, of closing the cultural program of these first months back to normal at the Roquetero Auditorium Theater, as long as the pandemic does not force a rethinking of the programming.
The City Council has already closed the prices of the shows for these first weeks of the year, which will be somewhat cheaper than usual recently, since they are between 15 and 18 euros in all cases and in the three areas in which they are Divided into Roquetero Auditorium Theater (12 in some cases at reduced rate).
Preparations to resume activity at the Auditorium Theater also include other services under tender these days, such as loading and unloading, movement of furniture, accommodation, control, lockers and customer service. In this case, the contract not only affects the scenic space, but also other municipal facilities such as the School of Music, the Castle of Santa Ana or the Plaza de Toros and provides a cost for this year of 270,846 euros, the same amount as for the two other annuities from 2022 and 2023.
Likewise, the technical assistance of lighting, sound and audiovisual media for the shows of the cultural program from January to June and from September to December of this year, at the Auditorium Theater, the Castillo de Santa Ana, the Municipal Library and the School of Music. In this case, the contract is valued at 110,000 euros including VAT.
As the Councilor for Culture reported last week, the return to activity at the Auditorium will be marked by numerous preventive measures, highlighting the reduction in capacity to one fifth of the usual. Only a maximum of 250 people can attend each show.
In addition, the seats will be nominal with pre-allocation and a registration of attendees will be made. There will be two separate seats between living units in alternate rows (with the rear and front rows blocking), as well as measures aimed at maintaining the safety distance in corridors, toilets and living room. The entry and exit routes have also been designed and marked to prevent people from crossing. The output will be carried out in a staggered manner by sectors, and hydroalcoholic gel dispensers have been installed. In addition, the temperature of each and every one of the spectators will be taken.
Finally, measures have been taken to guarantee ventilation, and CO2 measuring devices similar to those purchased for schools and other facilities will be incorporated.
