Manuel Ríos Fernández, better known as Manu Ríos, is a Spanish actor and singer, mainly known for his role as Patrick Blanco in the Netflix series Élite and now as Felipe’s Dr. Biel, in the successful Spanish production “Respira”.

About his character in the series, the actor spoke to a media outlet called “El Televisero”: “Previously, before starting to shoot, we did rehearsals with medical advisors, with real doctors, who guided us a little, depending on the plot or depending on what we had to do in the series, and then on the set they were also very present. And that has been a big part of the preparation. Words, how to position yourself on the set, how to hold a scalpel…”, he explained.

“Biel is very contained all the time because there is a lot at stake, he is a resident and as much as he has initiative and wants to make decisions, there are times when they are too much for him and he is not allowed or he cannot make those decisions. And there are many moments in which it is seen that it gets out of hand and he tries to solve things that he is neither qualified to do nor is responsible for. So, he is in a constant conflict about where to position himself or what is best. On his Instagram account, Manu Rios shared photos from the filming of the series and revealed that he had “had a lot of fun on the set.” However, when asked if there would be a second season of “Respira,” he preferred to remain silent, although he admitted that he would love for there to be one.
