self-consciously leading # 73. Rethink leadership with Executive Coach Claudia Nuss. This time: racing heart in the morning or a good start to the day.
For people who struggle with fear, it sometimes starts in the morning: For example, having woken up with a racing heart or the feeling of fear because you thought you did something wrong, someone was mad at you or something else not fit.
Tip: There are ways to calm yourself down and start the day confident and relaxed instead of nervous and anxious:
Try this: As soon as you open your eyes, put your hand on your heart and tell yourself these three sentences:
- I am fine!
- I’m sure.
- I am loved
Say it to yourself and say it out loud. Try it a couple of days in a row and see what happens to you. Tell your reflection in the bathroom.
If you don’t feel: “I am loved”,
then start with: “I love me”.
Do this every morning as soon as you wake up, it has a profound effect on your nervous system, the way you think and the quality of your day.
When you wake up feeling overwhelmed or stressed, this mantra always grounds you in the present moment. If you keep your morning centered, it will carry you through the rest of the day!
Start tomorrow morning with this mantra.
Or do you already have your own? Write me your mantra in the comments!
