Jakarta –
The story of the diet journey of a man in Bali, Fajar Santoso or who is also known as Iki Slamet, has gone viral. Through his TikTok video upload, Iki said that his diet journey started with heartache because he was often the butt of jokes by his friends and those around him. Without having much knowledge about diet, Iki Slamet tried to start losing weight.
Iki Slamet admitted that he had undergone an extreme diet and a diet that went viral at that time. However, this method did not produce results, instead it made him feel unfocused, easily sleepy, tired, weak, dizzy and his vision was dim.
“I also experienced acute stomach ulcers when I was on that extreme diet. In fact, acute stomach ulcers came and my stomach acid recurred easily when I was on an extreme diet where I only ate boiled food, no rice at all and no carbohydrates. That was the worst thing,” said Iki Slamet when contacted detikcomThursday (21/9/2023).
After looking for several diet methods, Iki Slamet found the intermittent fasting method. This method was deemed suitable because it suited his daily activities, where he rarely had breakfast.
“Starting on August 25 2022 and the last update yesterday was August 25 2023. That’s a total decrease from 131 kg to now 88 kg, so around 40 kg more,” said Iki Slamet.
Using the Intermittent fasting diet method, Iki Slamet fasts and only consumes water from seven in the evening until 12 noon the next day. Then from 12 noon to seven at night, Iki Slamet can eat two heavy meals, interspersed with snacks of nuts and drinking water.
“I didn’t have any problems after undergoing it. In fact, after undergoing intermittent fasting, stomach acid and stomach ulcers have never recurred until now. So I think it’s like a natural detox,” he said.
