A man in his 20s has been sent to St. Olav’s hospital after he was hit by a brick wall in Trondheim on Wednesday. The man is described as bruised after the accident.
The accident happened at Moholt student town in Trondheim at 14:00 on Wednesday. The police initially stated that the man was seriously injured. The degree of injury was on Wednesday evening adjusted down to the man being bruised, writes Address newspaper.
– We have no clear cause for the accident, other than that it happened in connection with work. The extent is not yet clear, but we are talking to people who have been on the scene and who either saw the accident or were nearby, says incident leader Kristin Jakobsen in the Trøndelag police district to the newspaper.
The man was freed and conscious when the emergency services arrived at the scene, the fire service told the newspaper earlier on Wednesday. He is being treated at St. Olav’s hospital.
It is about a brick or concrete wall, which weighed 300-400 kilos. The man is said to have been working to chisel the wall in order to demolish it.
The Norwegian Labor Inspection Authority has been notified of the incident.
