Chidambaram’s survival thriller Manjummal Boys, starring Soubin Shahir and Srinath Bhasi, has entered the 100 crore club. With this, ‘Manjummal Boys’ became the second fastest 100 crore film from Malayalam.
Not only in Kerala, but also in Tamil Nadu, the film is getting a great response. The film is currently getting bookings in Tamil Nadu which no other Tamil film has received in four months. The Tamil audience is also giving good response to the film.
Two Tamil fans described the film as saying, “Here in our Vijay sir’s Shabalam, you can make 15 films. Isn’t it worth 150-160 crores? It can make 15 films as good as Manjummal Boys. It will run well in theaters. The house has been full here for 11 days. If you have a good story, the audience will come to see it,” said two Tamil fans.
In recent days, director Gautham Vasudev Menon and Bollywood director Anurag Kashyap have also come out praising Manjummal Boys.

Gautham Menon commented, “Manjummal Boys, the ultimate theater viewing experience, a connection to the magic of cinema. Well done Boys. When ‘Manithar Unarthu Kolka’ comes on the soundtrack, I remember seeing Guna on opening day and watching it many times since.”
Meanwhile, Anurag Kashyap said that Manjummal Boys is a bold and beautiful idea and Hindi cinema can only remake it and never create it.
