During the last six days, the municipality of Manicaragua has not reported positive cases of COVID-19, but this does not mean that the risk of contagion has disappeared.
When participating in the special informative magazine of Telecubanacán and the CMHW station, Mileidi González González, president of the Municipal Defense Council (CDM), explained that although they have been with zero cases for so many days, in the mountainous territory they do not lower their guard. They still have three quarantines activated, with 350 houses and 1018 people.
“Since the pandemic began, we have faced the disease with the opening of 15 quarantines, 10 of them in the last three months. The responsibility of the Municipal Defense Council has been to guarantee supplies to that population, “said Noel Chinea Pérez, vice president of the CDM.
At the moment, Manicaraguan people add 11 active cases to COVID-19, which represents an incidence rate of 17.2 per 100,000 inhabitants.
