“Manhunt for Francisco Oropesa, Suspect in Cleveland, Texas Shooting that Killed Five, Including 8-Year-Old.”

On Friday, the small town of Cleveland, Texas was shaken after five people, including an 8-year-old, were shot and killed in their own home.

The suspect, Francisco Oropesa (38), is still at large and more than 200 officers from several law enforcement agencies are looking for him. The hunt has been going on since the incident, but the police do not seem to be any closer to finding him.

– We don’t know where he is. We have no tips on where he might be. Right now we have no leads, said Special Agent James Smith of the FBI on Sunday, according to the report New York Times.

Cruel tragedy

It was Friday evening that five people were shot and killed in a home in Cleveland, Texas. Police say they were killed by a neighbor Oropesa after they complained that he was firing shots in his garden.

Among those killed is an eight-year-old, and three women and a man have also been killed. The suspect is said to have been armed with a semi-automatic rifle.

Sheriff Capers says there were ten people in the house where the murders took place, and that no one else was injured. All those killed must have a background from Honduras. Two of them were found lying over two children inside the house.

– The Honduran women who lay over the children did so to try to protect them, says Capers. He says that all those killed were hit in the neck or head.

According to the police, the murders occurred after members of the family went up to the fence towards the neighbor and asked the suspect to stop shooting. He then allegedly replied that it was his property.
