Four men are said to have tried to rape a 16-year-old woman near Linz’s main train station on Wednesday evening. Three men were arrested. A major manhunt for a fugitive man was initiated.

According to the police, they were caught red-handed by officers from the Aliens’ Police in an empty building on Waldeggstrasse. They were there because an initial refugee reception center for people from Ukraine is currently being set up in the building complex near the train station. Three of the men, two Afghans and one Iraqi, were arrested immediately, but a fourth suspect managed to escape.
