Manhattan Tobacco Store Shooting Leaves One Dead in Possible Execution-Style Murder

NEW YORK — Authorities are searching for a suspect in the execution-style murder of a man inside a Manhattan tobacco store, New York City Police said. The suspect shot the victim in the head multiple times.

According to the police report, the shooting occurred on Sunday, at about 7:48 pm, when the alleged gunman got into a dispute with the victim, a 36-year-old man, inside the business located at 304 Lenox Avenue, in Harlem. As the victim was leaving the scene, the suspect shot him multiple times, hitting him in the head.

But that was not enough. As the victim fell to the ground from the impact of the bullets, the suspect fired a second round into the victim’s head, police said. Then he fled the place.

The victim was transported to the hospital where she was pronounced dead.
