Manhattan Plaza offers one day of free ice skating – NBC New York

NEW YORK — One of New Yorkers’ favorite activities during the winter season is ice skating rinks.

For those who love this activity can enjoy it for free, Manhattan West Plaza, New York City’s dynamic destination for food, culture, retail, hospitality and the modern workplace of Brookfield propertyhas announced that it will offer free entry to the The skating rink in Manhattan West Tuesday 29 November, day open to the public for the second year. The plaza is located at 385 9th Ave, New York, NY 10001.

During this day, called Community Day, the rink will be open from 14:00 to 19:00 and visitors will be able to enjoy an afternoon of free skating at The skating rink in Manhattan West, hot cocoa and treats, exclusive offers from Manhattan West retailers, and special skating and music shows. No reservations needed. Ice skating is on a first come, first serve basis.

Also on November 29, from 4-7pm, Pendry Manhattan West will launch its on-site Winter Market in partnership with Rachel Zoe’s premier shopping platform, Curateur, creating a luxury shopping experience with products ranging from home, to skin care, jewelry and more.

Community Day guests will be able to enjoy an ice skating exhibition from 5-5:20pm featuring performances by:

  • Hailey Kops who competed at the Beijing Olympics and is a 3 time competitor at the World Junior Championships where she finished 7th in the world.
  • Karina Manta and Joe Johnson, part of Team USA and together have performed professionally with Cirque du Soleil and Dancing on Ice.
  • Lucy Hancock and Ilias Fourati, international champions of the Hungarian national team.
