Manhattan Doctor Gets Maximum Sentence for Poisoning Wife with Deadly Supplements

A Manhattan judge sentenced a doctor to the maximum sentence in jail after a jury found guilty of denying his wife required medical care and instead made the decision to bombard her with a deadly dose of supplements to receive treatment for an ailment she never had.

Identified as Jeffrey Harris, 59, will spend between five and 15 years behind bars after a ruling handed down on Friday by the death of his wife, Tammy Harris, who lost her life in Manhattan in 2018.

Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg indicated that a New York State Supreme Court jury, found the man guilty of second-degree murder “for killing her by giving her numerous supplements and alternative treatments, including poisonous levels of selenium, and preventing her from seeking treatment for lupus.”
