Starting this Monday, Brooklyn Subway service will experience some temporary changes.
The B and Q trains will be affected as the MTA installs two new elevators and completes other accessibility improvements at the Church Avenue station in Flatbush.
Southbound B and Q trains will avoid the station until the fall while the work is completed.
NYCT Subway posted a message on social media about the changes:
“📣 Attention, B/Q train passengers.
“Beginning Sundays at 11:45 p.m., downtown B and Q trains will not stop at Church Av 24/7 until fall 2024 while we make improvements to access.”
“For service to or from Church Av, take a train to Manhattan or use the Parkside Av or Beverley Rd stations.
“Note: B trains will make local stops between Prospect Park and Kings Hwy in both directions,” the message reads.
📣 Heads up, B/Q train riders.
Beginning Sundays at 11:45 p.m., downtown B and Q trains will not stop at Church Av 24/7 through Fall 2024 while we upgrade access. 🠖

Passengers seeking service to this station should take a train to Beverly Road and then take a B or Q train to Manhattan.
In addition, until early next year, B trains will run on local routes between Prospect Park and Kings Highway while additional work is completed on the express lines.
