According to analysts, compared to December last year, there was an increase in prices for rice – by 34.3%, mineral and drinking water – by 18.4%, canned milk – by 16.9%, alcoholic drinks and tobacco products – by 15.6%. Prices for kefir (2.5% fat content) and eggs increased by 13.4% each, as well as butter by 13.3%, pasteurized milk, and fresh fruits and vegetables by 12.8%. Bakery and flour products became more expensive by 12.3 percent, fish and seafood – by 12.1%, confectionery – by 10.7%.
A decrease in prices was observed for buckwheat – by 22.6%, sunflower oil – by 18% and granulated sugar – by 15.8%.
The price level for personal goods increased by 12.4%, furniture and household items increased in price by 11.8%, dishes – by 11.4%, clothing and shoes – by 11.3%. The price of pharmaceutical products increased by 10.4 percent and construction materials by 7.3%. Diesel fuel rose in price by 15.2%, gasoline became more expensive by 13.7%, liquefied gas in cylinders – by 13.6% and coal – by 10.7%.
Prices for services of integrated recreation organizations increased by 16.8%, services of sanatoriums – by 15.8%, healthcare – by 13.6%, services in the field of recreation and sports events – by 13.5%, hairdressing salons and personal service establishments – by 12.8%, education services – by 9.6%, public catering – by 8%.
Taxi fares have become more expensive – prices increased by 9.1%, travel on public transport increased in price – by 8.9%, on an intercity bus – by 8.8%. Prices for air travel also increased by 8.6%. Train fares increased by 7.3%.
Tariffs for utility services have increased: garbage removal has risen in price by 33.2%, sewerage – by 28.8%, central heating – by 26.1%, hot water – by 23.4%, cold water – by 22%, electricity – by 19.9%, housing maintenance – by 7%.
Regionally, in December last year (in annual terms), the inflation rate exceeding the republican average was observed in nine regions, of which the highest was in Karaganda (11.1 percent), Akmola (10.7%) and Mangistau (10.6%) areas.
