Mange oversvømmelser i Bergen – Flere må vente på hjelp

All stations from the fire service in Bergen have their crews out on a mission to pump water out of apartments.

– I don’t have an overview of how many places we are, but there are many. Several are also waiting to get help, says duty manager Jostein Steinsland-Haugen at the West 110 central to NTB.

He also says that they receive many messages about flooding outdoors.

– We are not able to help here until now. If it is a municipal road, you must ask the municipality for help, says the duty manager.

At the same time, Steinsland-Haugen makes a call.

– If it is a question of clogged drains, then you can see if it is possible to remove objects that obstruct the water, but you must not take any chances and put yourself in danger.
