The chairman of the parliamentary group of the European People’s Party Manfred Weber asked the European Commission to start procedure for breach of contract for the supply of vaccines v. AstraZeneca for reports of 29 million doses stored in Italy.
“If this is true, I believe that the Commission should immediately prepare a procedure for breach of contract against AstraZeneca. It is unthinkable to export from now on any doses of it to the rest of the world, until the company is ready to fulfill its contract with the EU.“- commented Weber, quoted by BNR.
